EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!!! :DDD
so my last paper taken(HRM) was on the 19th May 2011, a thursday..

i would say i was the least prepared for this paper..and guess what? 15mins before the commencement of the paper, i realise i forgot to bring my entry proof!!! like WTF..panic x 100000....
but thankfully, i just had to rmb my candidate number and show my ic.*PHEWWWW*
so anw, how i think i did.

Difficulty of paper: 2/5
How i think i fared: around 5/10
Effort: 3/10(pathetic)
Comments: what can i say, well, itself as a subject is already boring enough..hence, the least effort( just 6 days before exam). also, i spotted topics, spotted 6..and the one i studied the MOST didn't come out as an indv question..only manage to spot 3, still got 1 i totally clueless but i just squeezed my brain cells..and tadah, PAPER OVER.rofl..oh well, not like i didn't study also...i did, and i tried my best for this mundane subject.

as i've said on my fb..see below.

so what have i been doing since then?
just on thursday night itself, i had my friends over for mahjong..and i won $18.kekeke
then on friday, attended a friend's farewell party at Marina Bay Sands..anddddddd my goodness, it was a one crazy once-in-a-lifetime experience..

it was a Straits Suite and this is what they have in the room.

and this morning, my sleep got disrupted..#)*$%)#($*&%$(&. aircon men come service the aircon at like 930am?!!:((( and worse still? i'm aching allllll over from yesterday's badminton session..damnit..totally spoil my morning..

Anyway, today is Vesak Day.In short...

The festival celebrated with great ceremonial ritual by Buddhists is Vesak Day, which commemorates the birth and enlightenment of Buddha and his entry into Nirvana.

and that also means a public holiday for the people of Singapore.:D

yea,so anw, i had a really great morning.

ytd night, i reminded dad to wake me up at 7am for a morning swim..he did, but i couldn't wake up..then dad came in again and say:

"thought you said u wanted mac big breakfast ytd? later i buy for you"..

i immediately went back to sleep smiling..hahahaha..

8+: i switched off the aircon and told myself "I ONLY HAVE 2 DAYS LEFT, WAKE UP OR DIE"

and so i did, revise Organisational Justice and waited impatiently for my big breakfast..and daddy delivered as promised.:D

while i was studying hard, daddy was doing his office work..then when we both decided that when we're done, we would go for a swim..and WE DID! 20 laps in all..

DEFINITELY TIRING.BUT SATISFYING.:)

AND NOW I'M OFF FOR SUBWAY! hahaha.and guess what? DAD WANTS SUBWAY TOO! like father,like daughter! :DD hahaha.

it's the exam periods spanning from 9-19th may..

and guess what? i'm done with 3 of the papers!!! like a...

OMGGG! JUST 1 MORE TO GO!!!(i was trying to express that.:P)

Principles of Marketing(9 May):

Difficulty of paper:4/5

How I think i fared:5-6/10

Effort: 8/10

Comments: i put in too much effort, and the paper was quite different from past years.was aiming for a good grade but i think that no longer stands.:/ am just hoping for a decent grade

Principles of Accounting(11 May):

Difficulty of paper: 3/5

How i think i fared: 5/10

Effort: 5/10

Comments: Focused way too much on my marketing..hence, sacrificed my time spent on poa.and i can only blame myself.why? cos since day 1 when balwant taught poa, i knew i was weak. I did attempt to practice, and practice it even more frequent than before, but it wasn't enough..but as i've said on my fb..see below.

and seriously, i have no idea why so many people likes the status? lol.but in anycase, i'm thankful for my lovely friends all around..such small encouragements goes a long way.:)))

Management Science Methods(12 May)

Difficulty of paper: 1/5

How i think i fared: 7/10

Effort: 6-7/10

Comments: well, msm is an easier subject for a further unit. and relative to the other modules i have this year, it is definitely my best bet of getting a GOOD grade, by that i mean like an A..and yea,so when i went in for the paper, i was both nervous and excited.mixed feelings..and thankfully, paper was more than manageable.a little twists and turns there, but i manage to spot it! :D doubled-check and what not before the allocated time..couldn't stay any longer in the uber stressful place, and decided to leave early.:PP

HRM(19 May)

and because of the intensity of the exams, my body AGAIN(this year) breaks down..right on the day of marketing paper, i was sneezing like some *****...then tuesday didn't manage to study cos i couldn't based on my condition..wednesday, the sneeze turned into a cough..and the cough is persistent till now..:(

YES YES, I KNOW.I NEED AMPLE REST. i get it.:P

that's why i took a break from studying for the whole of today..:))))

i'm currently blogging to kill time.

i've had a study session this morning in school with samantha..till 6..
had my 2nd last lesson at Swimming Instructor course till 9pm..

reached home and told myself i'll watch just 1 episode and go to sleep..
and get up early tmr to exercise, study, head for 1230 lecture..and study in school.

and my exams are round the corner.just 19 days!!!
i would say i'm more prepared this time..in the sense that i've prepared earlier this time..
but this time, all 4 modules are FURTHER units, which means they are of a higher level..

Hmmmmmm,you might be thinking why i post such a random post about rainbows right...

well,it's very simple.

To me, the rainbow i saw signifies HOPE..hope for everyone, hope for mankind.

I still can remember vividly the feeling i had when i saw the full awesome beautiful rainbow.reassured & happy..but as quick as it appeared, the rainbow soon faded..:/

i stupidly said "argh! why so fast gone?!"

then daddy said "rainbow only comes out once in awhile.."

and it made me ponder..

WHEN & WHY rainbows actually occur..i had no answer to it(hence, the urge to go seek information)

yes, they do have scientific explainations for it..but i somehow still believe that it has a special meaning

to it (that is beyond explanation) :DD

and i thought writing this post would serve as a reminder that there's still hope out there despite all the gloom, chaos & terrible happenings around my life and/or the world right now, at this moment...

Well, did the calorie counts..and i think totalling the food intake, its ~1550kcal.
acitivities wise, i'm not too sure..but anyway, the important thing is..

Theoretically this works because 1 pound of fat represents 3500 calories (500 calories per day multiplied by 7 days equals 3500 calories). my current(worrying) condition...

felt like i've been away for a really long time..so i told myself i had to write a post today..but now that i'm sitting in front of the laptop, i don't actually know what to write.:P

okay.how about telling you my condition-physically & emotionally.

PHYSICALLY

i know very disturbing.but my right eye has been 'swollen' for ~3 weeks..:(

i've been applying eye creams but it has only SLIGHT improvement.

and just from this photo alone, can you see the condition of my face? dry, patchy, PIMPLY..:((

No, i'm not being abused at home..

i have NO IDEA why but such blue blacks(at least 8) have been appearing recently..esp my legs.the BIGGEST being the size of a ping pong ball..its DAMN SCARY & DAMN UGLY.

been asking around and checking it online and i'm hoping its because i have Iron deficiency and not anything else..

and i'm trying to change my diet and exercise to see if it helps.

HAIZ...

so as you can see, my physical condition is PRETTY AWFUL i must say. oh, and with the exams round the corner, there's the problem of snacking unhealthily and the side-effect is that- i become FATTER..:(

and yes,i think i wanna talk about THE SENSITIVE ISSUE: BEING FAT...

i'm not ashamed about it, but that doesn't mean i'm proud of it either..

all my life up till now, i would say i was relatively larger than most of my girlfriends in class.

i had all kinds of nicknames from my parents/relatives..i've had my share of the primary school TAF Club..then as i went on to secondary school, to jc and now till uni, there was some off and on periods in there where i was slimmer(just a little) and somehow(i think) pple started to notice the feminine side of me & gave positive comments which were nice to hear..

point here: I'm fat all along and i know it. BUT, i do nothing about it.you can say i couldn't care less.

and as i grow up, i've come to realise and notice that,you know, being fat DID make me unhappy in the past and DOES make me unhappy now...hearing the comments from my parents and looking at my photos..it can get quite pricky sometimes..

and i really do hate myself for not doing anything about it for all my life up till now..it is only in the recent year that i'm becoming more self-conscious and putting in some effort, but it's NOT ENOUGH!!! :((

and so i wanna take this post as a reminder, to tell myself that

I NEED TO CHANGE! RIGHT NOW!! THIS MOMENT!

I EXERCISE MORE THAN USUAL.SO THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE(i'll still have to exercise REGULARLY)

IT'S MY FOOD INTAKE! MY F-ING UNHEALTHY DIET!

CUT IT DOWN.DOWN DOWN DOWN!!

AND I"LL BE SLIMMER, HEALTHIER & HAPPIER.

Singapore Biathlon 2011

"The Singapore Biathlon: the largest and most competitive biathlon in Southeast Asia, is an annual event organised by SAFRA National Service Association and Republic of Singapore Navy. This event consists of an Olympic-standard 1.5km swim followed by a 10km run..."

I'm not sure if i've mentioned on my blog before, but i've been swimming with a special group of people every wednesday night since many months back..it all started out with my sis boyfriend KK, who had a really strong passion to teach & of course for the sport swimming...

Years back, he & my sis(i don't know how) got exposed to OSIM triathlon..and since that very year, they've been competing in local triathlons/biathlons/ironman..and somehow, i got pulled into the training too.:DD

It started off with just the 3 of us. After a month, still 3 of us..

But we kept on going and TEAM SAPPHIRE was born..we now have a team of approximately 20!! how awesome is that? If you have a passion for triathlons and interested in joining us, do check out http://www.sapphireswimming.com/index.php. It's FREE by the way!! :)

Yea, so here's the main point..On Saturday,12th feb 2011, I took part in my FIRST EVER Singapore Bialthon..First in the sense that i'm doing this all by myself-i did join other races, but all were relay events whereby i'll ALWAYS do the swim leg..:PP

However, as i'm still below the age of 21(YES, i'm BELOW 21! do i look that old to you??:P), I took part in the Women's Youth Category(aged 15-21)...and what's the best part???

I don't do 1.5km swim & 10km run like the others..I do HALF of it-750m swim & 5km run...

and here's the results!

Category: Women's Youth.

I completed the swim in 16:30mins, and the run in 35:16mins...of cos, in between we have to do transition, so that's not accurate..but in anycase, i've got 11/20!!! woots! :)

okay, the results aren't so important actually..what i thought was more important was the sense of accomplishment i had when i ran pass that finish point...& of course the process i went through throughout the whole 51mins...

that mere 51mins was the WORST & BEST times I would say. worst cause 6-7mins into the swim, i had guys who swam so close to me that i felt claustrophobic..and worst yet, i felt like i got rammed by an oncoming train at full speed 1/4 into the swim.

THIS ARSEHOLE HAD HIS FEET IN MY EYES!!! OMG. I S***R I WANTED TO STOP SWIMMING & KICK HIM BACK!

of cos, my goggles got kicked off my eyes & SEAwater got in..so half of my swim, i was like partially blind..and my head did hurt pretty badly..but i couldn't care less and just told myself i had to complete this race...i saw the shore, and just kept swimming towards it..came out and ran up the sand..my legs felt like it had weights on them...my mind went like "wtf,i still have 5km to do!! arghhh"

THERE WAS SO MANY TIMES I WANTED TO JUST GIVE UP & SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION(i really WAS sick.i had the flu just the day before, ate 4 cold tablets b4 the race)...

BUT I WAS HALFWAY THERE ALREADY. MAKES NO SENSE IF I'D JUST STOP & END IT JUST LIKE THAT. I COULDN'T JUST END IT HERE...

THANKFULLY, WITH MUCH DETERMINATION, SELF-TALK & SUPPORT, I FINISHED THE RACE.

I CONQUERED...

TWO DAYS TO CHINESE NEW YEAR!!! :))

Chinese New Year is one of the best times for me because i get to buy & wear new clothes & shoes! it's also the best cause i get to munch on new year goodies for FREE! the ba kwa, the love letters, the pineapple tarts(shiokness i tell you)..then not forgetting the ang baos & free moolas(if you're lucky) when you play BANLAK/POKER OR MAHJONG!!! and what's realllllly the best? i think it's all about the FAMILY TIME, the REUNIONS & the GET TOGETHERS! :)))))

I'M SO LOOKING FORWARD TO CNY MAN!!!!!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT! AND AND AND TMR IS REUNION DINNER ALREADY! WOOTS!!

ok.i promised, so here i am to update you guys! so so sooooo sorry for the delay :)

so how has life been for me?? well, good and bad..good cos things have been smooth sailing(in a way) and i haven't been really upset over anything..yup.so maybe i'll start off with what i've won over the weeks? :)

first up, i took part in this year ICS 2011 organised by SRC..it's a 1 day event whereby teams from different universities(in SIM) compete in 3 different sports: frisbee, futsal & captain's ball..
it was a very last minute random thing as I got called up to fill in the place..but ended up being one of the main 6 on court.hahaha.but my team was pretty powerful...haha. we unexpectedly WON the captain's ball category and won ourselves a medal + $50 captitaland vouchers each!!! :) nice...

and i guess ladyluck is with me cause at this year's IVP, SIM badminton girls team unexpectedly got 2nd position(Silver that is)..i say unexpected cos we were supposed to be fighting for the 3rd position..but due to a team's disqualification, we ended up fighting for 2nd position instead..and thankfully, our efforts paid off and my team won.:DDD

so with IVP wrapped up, the next day(immediate), i flew off to BANGKOK for 6 days with a group of badminton peeps! :) it was super duper impromptu, but i guess that's the whole thrill of it! this trip was free & easy..so we practically travelled up & down BKK all by ourselves.

hahaha.so how did you spend your countdown? with your loved ones? your family? your friends? or you couldn't be bothered? lol.

well, all i can rmb from new year eve is i went to a friend's condo, played mj, did a countdown with the badminton peeps..and i took a cab down to clarke quay to meet xiujuan & audrey for a drink. just drank and chilled till late(kinda regret)-cos we waited for a TAXI for an hour and a half! :( its true! but minus that and new year celebration was all good.

so yea, how has 2011 been to me? not too bad i would say. :P

i promise more updates..I PROMISE.so STAY TUNED.:D
i'm currently in the midst of IVP..and the girls team has made it into the top 4. tmr's the semis and yea, we'll see how it goes..that's all for now!! :)

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates(blame it on my laptop)...yea, im currently on my way to training right now and i can tell you im feeling so lousy and crappy within for the past few days..and im not exaggerating(sighing as and when at anything).im not sure if it is the lack of rest; or isit the stress coming from my AM test tmr; or am i just pms-ing cos it is near the time of the month...:( the feeling is so horrible!!:( and i really hope it doesnt affect me during training(the last for the year) later and im really really hoping that when i wake up tmr, i will feel better or something...THIS SUCKS..:(

As the title suggests, I GOT A GUITAR TODAY! woooooooooooots! :))

**if you read my blog often enough, you would have seen me mention the guitar a number of times already,sayin how much i wanna learn and how much i wish i had one..and finally...today, I GOT ONE! :)

went down to peninsula shopping centre(just outside city hall mrt) with elaine(thanks for accompanying me babe)..walked around for quite some time(actually just 2 shops) hahaaha.i practically spend like an hour or so in one of the shops.the staff there were really really helpful.i just told them i was a beginner who wanted to learn, need an acoustic guitar.and they gave me soooo many choices!! :S definitely had a headache choosing one i'd really like..they had cheaper guitars with packages but they were WHITE...they had higher quality sound guitars but it exceeded my budget..then i think the boss saw my fustration, he came over, took a guitar in his hand and started strumming.ir and HE WAS DAMN GOOD CAN.hahaha.n he started promoting that guitar.."$135(package with cover, strings,tuner..) below your budget, gives off crisp and sharp sound, clear, easy grip.not too bulky.."..and as he spoke, he kept strumming familiar tunes, and soon enough, his staff were all smiling..and he on the verge of dancing(i swear).hahaha.n i think i didn't notice, but my jaws were wide open.:P

the guitar had a problem!! IT WAS BLACK!!:S
previously, one of the staff(who was awesome) mentioned that black is pretty hard to maintain in the sense that if there were to be any scratches, it would be difficult to remove..so i was like :(( how? i really love the guitar but it's only availble in black..and then i asked if there was the typical brown matt woody feel for this model..and guess what?! the boss smiled and asked his staff to bring one over!!!

and me? I was on cloud nine already la.hahahaa..:)

20/10/2010, 12am: Celebrated with family. brother bought the birthday cake(his first time btw)..BUT something really funny happened.Blurr daddy didn't put the ice-cream cake in the freezer, and hence the greenish guey fluid at the bottom of the cake(if you look carefully..hahaahaha.this photo was just taken out of courtesy.:)) whatever it is, i still feel <3-ed, so thank you .:)

20/10/2010,7pm : had CS(Challenge Shield) Meeting in school and my new found friends celebrated my bday for me!!! :)) definitely not the standard birthday celebration, different cos it had a 'double' surprise, first with small fudge cake facial in the games room(and when i seriously thought it was over). the whole room went quiet again when i came back and the song was sung again with a durian cake! wahahahaaha.and the whole process repeated.:P

*ps.my cakes this year all super exotic or something..:P ice cream & durian...

but in anycase, i was really happy that my new found friends actually took time out to celebrate this day with me.:) thank you guys!

anw, maybe you know or do not know, but right after my birthday, which is the 21/10/2010, i fell terribly sick..i couldn't sleep and start puking all my birthday treats out into the toilet bowl..i rmb waking up at 4am and puking for a good 5minutes..it was damnnnnnn bad.and you know how bad it can get when you just ate durian the day before right..:(

yea, so anw, i thought it was just some bad food that i'd taken the previous day before and that everything would be fine when i wake up..but NO.i felt worse when i woke up.i was curling back and forth in my bed..felt like my intestines were dislodged from my body.it was so painful..and i do not even have the strength to get out from my bed...and just like that,i stood still and tried my best to sleep..and i was 'bedridden' from 4am-6pm.do the math, its a good 17 hours hours..

when i could no longer take it, mum accompanied me to the doctor..doctor just hit my stomach and asked me a few questions, and he diagnosed that i was down with Gastric flu aka stomach virus, hence, the cold & hot chills down my whole body the whole dam day that made me feel so uncomfortable..gave me a jab to relief the pain which was "owww"..and i have so much medication to take..:(((

so "unlucky'' aye? sigh..but thankfully, i have friends like you guys who shower so much care & love over me that makes all this pain more bearable.:) so thank you one and all again..i will take good care of myself and go sleep early today after taking my medications..good night.:)

Hi everyone..:))

I'm back, and i'm not feeling UBER tired anymore, thanks to the 'ample' rest i had during my weekend! so what did i do? :)

I had my FIRST study session(after 2 weeks) with sammie! :) and after 4 solid hours, we made our way down to Srgn Gardens(together with my brother).CHOMPCHOMP & ICE CUBE!! <3

Coaching & coaching & more coaching. but manage to catch a 2 hour nap after at 5pm-which was so bloody good-and i guess i'm really tired, cos i had no problem/difficulties in sleeping at all later that night..:)

on a side note, i had a talk with KK this evening.and i thought i wanted to note this down & maybe share it with you readers out there..

well, i was curious about the way he teaches swimming and so asked questions like.."how do you teach freestyle? freestyle kick first?" and he gave his side of the coin, but without realising it, i was actually intercepting him with my BUTS every now and then, and not allowing him to speak..and true enough,it was pointed out to me by him at the end of our conversation...

he said that it's in my second nature to "but this but that" and not listening & taking in pple perspective of things, and instead, rebutting most of pple statements...not being open-minded enough and trying to push all critcisms aside...well, it wasn't easy listening to every word he had to say about me(i must admit)...but after reflecting, i can only look away in shame...:P cos it's so true!!! and that's really why i don't improve at all...

but it's such reminders that will help me grow...and for that, thank you KK.:)

Hi there...i just completed a ~3km run ,hoping it will help to destress..but obviously, it doesn't work and that's why i'm here.

sigh..first, there was the unexpected news from Traffic Police on monday.i was asked to return my temporary pass and that was it. i was just 'dismissed' like that.not that i'm affected by the fact that i no longer have the income..but by the fact that they just dismiss us WITHOUT warning.i mean, at least inform b4hand so i can be ready to say my goodbyes la..ergh..for me, as a part-timer, it really doesn't matter..since i still have other jobs..but for the full-time? by informing them so last min, how do you want them to accept it in just ONE day??? abit stupid right..and just dismissing them like that, you're 'robbing' them of their rice bowls...

whatever it is, let bygones be bygones la.i must say i've had a great time working at TP..in the sense that i nvr dreaded work despite the 7am & 11pm timings..and of course, the GREAT company & friends i made at TP: sri, riyan, nani,suriati,yuni,shu..all so nice people..really will miss alllllllll of them..

and yes, just when i thought that i would be less busy without this job..i received a text reminding me to sign up for SI course (swimming instructor)..so some of you might ask, what's this SI course about? very simply, to be a fully certified swimming instructor (etc. to be able to teach at public pools), i'll have to go through this course..i failed the first time(a year ago), missed the 1st intake this year..and nw that the 2nd intake is here, i definitely have to give it a go..i have to..by hook or by crook..but this involves a major major sacrifice/problem..and that is, if i DO pass and get selected for this course, i'll be having classes every tue & thur evening which unfortunately clashes with my badminton training! :( and that is, 2 months! :(

sigh.trust me, it SUCKS that i'll have to forgo badminton for this.REALLY SUCKSS.:( being forced out of an option..and i guess dad is right..i'll have to be realistic." getting this SI license will be an asset for the years to come..and so what if you lose your place in the team? which is more important? "....:((

then there's the test to worry about...my year 2 modules to choose, my results that i must work towards to..my degree..submitting forms after forms, course fees & school fees!! FML now seriously.:(((

my last post was on 17th july..that's just 7 days ago..but how come it feels like so many days had past?? sigh.guess there's been too many activities already..a wee bit over maybe?? you'll see.:)
here's what i did from 18th July-23rd July...

sunday:class gathering with close friends from jc at ion swensens.had ice-cream buffet! :)
monday:durian & dessert buffet with linglin & mich, swim session with ling & mj with badminton peeps.
tuesday: thank god off day.
wednesday: work from 7-3pm.tuition from 4-7pm. FIRST OG OUTING at night!!
thursday: sixinaclique gathering at sentosa in the afternoon and UOL BASH.
friday: yum cha with cousins, uncle, aunt & my godmum..and heading off to get stuff for bees chalet ytd night!
saturday(just now): wingchun, og27 first dinner outing & orange inception movie at night....

unfortunately for me, i could no longer take it. i lost the fight.:P
i had a quick shower the moment i came home & my legs directed me(AUTOMATICALLY) to my bed.i didn't even sleep in the correct direction please.my head was where my feets were supposed to be!!hahaha.and it was really yi-jiao-bu-xin kind...until little trinity woke me up, and i rmb waking up seeing her smile.super awesome,miss this little girl so much!!! but i still went back to sleep! :( but not long later, she tried again and i finally pulled myself together..:)

i'm still tired.but i want to jot down & make a note for myself...
make a note of how i'm feeling right now at this stage in life.on the final days of me being a nineteen year old,so here goes...

i'll start with me actually signing up to help out for FOD/FOC this year..so why did i sign up?
a few reasons, one being that i was free & bored.second, i wanted to try it out and make new friends.third, TO HELP!!! haha.we were given a choice to choose b/w GM(game masters) or OGL(orientation group leader)..i've been warned of the consequences of being an ogl..and i too know that i'm not really cut out to be one..so naturally, i chose to be a GM..but everything just happened so unexpectedly..first, i drew the bonus ticket that made me ogls for both days.for two whole different og..then thankfully & very luckily, i got selected as an OGL for foc.and can i say that it is at this camp, where i really made new friends, be it the freshies or the council people...
fast forward & i was at the UOL bash.now i was there, not as a freshie, but as an OGL.i entered the club & i'd people calling out to me, recognising me & dancing alongside me..and i guess that wasn't the case back a year ago...i'm not saying its a bad thing and what not.i'm just trying to highlight the contrast.what i was before & what i am now.it's making me think if i'm still the genevieve that everyone knew me for..

and for the past few days, i've had a few conversation with my friends at the gatherings & what not.and while talking to them, i'm actually very curious to know if they actually see any change in me or sense anything different...but as we talked, i think it was still the same.i still spoke to faith, ben & hannbin like before..then, the volleyball session with sixinaclique @ sentosa...see here, in the past, i was definitely the one who WILL NOT initiate any outings or whatsoever, but now,I DID! then there was the conversation with my cousin at starbucks..the talk about relationships & future..in the past, i won't even share such stuff..but now, I DID!

My point? Very simple..I'VE CHANGED!! physically,emotionally & mentally..but isit for better or for worse????
and then again, why think so much? just be myself la!!!why should i care what others think of me? but you must know, that i'm still that genevieve that really cares of what others think of her.and i'm still the genevieve that is sensitive to her surroundings. and i'm still the genevieve that thinks too much into things.:P

In conclusion...FOC 2010 was awesome possum.i'd had more fun that i'd expected.i thought i wouldnt do a good job as an ogl, but thank god for darren and sunkist oranges, all went well for me!!

Quick Updates:

1) 4B1 class gathering ytd @marina square..a PATHETIC one cos only 6/41 turned up.and the 6 of us were all-but-one committees members.LOL.and 5 of us came from sixinaclique, how about that..:S one thing is for sure: i will not organise the 4b1 gathering ALONE in future..:P but other than that, we sure had fun laughing at our secondary school stories!!! :)))

2) met up with Cuix today! finally, she's back! woots! had supper at chomps together with jopes, xiu and her..really awesome quality time spent together.and we're gonna meet up more often now.CANNOT WAIT! :D

3) I WILL BE AWAY FOR FOC CAMP FROM 11th(that is tmr) till the14th JULY.:)It is my first time taking part in a camp as an OGL...and i'm nervous(DEFINITELY) & excited..nervous cos i have to get to know 20 individuals from scratch and making them come together..*shakes head*.it's NOT easy!! and excited cos it's gonna be a whole new awesome experience! :DDDDDDD

i was on my way home from work just now, and just in that mere 15-25minutes or so, thoughts like this went through my head and i thought i would need to pen them down in case i forget...

okay.for the record, I FINALLY COMPLETED <TWILIGHT: NEW MOON> TODAY!(this may seem like nothing to you, but its a FEAT for me due to my busy schedule)..and maybe that was what triggered all the thoughts..and somehow, i feel absurdly & weirdly similar to Bella-the main character in the story- in some ways..like how she has problems, huge problems..similar in a way that she tries to deal with her problem but will always have more coming in...and that she'll be caught in a dilemna cos she doesn't want to hurt anybody..that i really feel similar..

plus, i'm also as clumsy(or more)..like how i broke the chair armrest at work today..so embarassing.and how i spill stuff and do the silliest things..how i'd trip over my bag/leg stands or wires..:/ and then there's the part where Bella feels cold like nearly everytime..which is also similar..

but unlike Bella, i have neither Edward Cullen nor Jacob Black. no lover.no best friend.no safe harbor...
and i have to admit that i'm envious of bella at times, cos no matter how much danger she is in, she's always safe...and that's something that's really comforting...oh and one thing,i'd prefer jacob black! :)))))

yes,i know i sound stupid.bella is totally a FICTION character...but i can't help it!
i'm hopelessly drawn into the twilight saga already..:P it's a pretty great story i must say.at least it help me shave off hours what seem to be days at work for the past 3 days.:)))

OGL + OGL.that was all that was written on the slip of paper that i drew on briefing day...

what i wanted was GM on both days, but apparently the rule of thumb was that everyone of us would get a chance to be an OGL for 1 day..and according to the ex-cos, taking this OGL+OGL slip is a bonus...

it wasn't what i wanted initially, but everything happens for a reason yea?! so yup, i just took it in my stride and gave off my best for both days!(that includes 7 spoonfuls of pi pa gao, blistered toes, cramp feets and sleep deprivation)

FIRST DAY: OG27

okay,im sorry, can't really see their faces i know.but i didn't really have the time to take a proper group photo either(got to wait till the ex-cos upload the FOD photos).

so anw, OG27 has a total of 24 freshies.i'll have to admit that taking 24 at one shot is SO not easy.and me being an OGL for the first time, i really really had trouble getting the BIG group to bond together..:/ but thankfully, after a few games and interaction, i see that the group are finally making some progress la.so no complaints or whatsoever.what's more impt is that they make new friends! :) yup, all went quite okay.so kudos to everyone in og27 and my partner yewhwee! :))

SECOND DAY: OG18

Learnt my lesson from the first day.so took more photos for this OG.:) yeap, this OG had a total of 22!
i don't know if god was watching over me.maybe he knew i was tired and worn out from the first day or something and gave me such a wonderful group to begin with?? haha.right from the start of the orientation, the guys were already clapping to every forfeit and laughing at each other.sabotaging each other and what not..i was soooo happy that i was assigned to this group actually.all of you people so rahrah papaya! hahaha.so thank you everyone and my partner ivan for the success!

FYI: I STILL LOVE BOTH OGS OKAY.NO COMPARISON OR WHATSOEVER.all are equally awesome freshies with great great personality.and i really hope to see you guys at FOB & FOC! :) like i've mentioned before, this FOD would not have been possible if not for you freshies/ogls/gm and of cos the ex-cos and management.

the whole experience and company was just AMAZING...and it really beats anything and everything.:)

THE NEW GENERATION SKATEBOARD???

yes.so whats with the post about this new skateboard?
well, i first spotted many kids on these skateboards at the end of last year..and since then, the number of kids using it have been increasing at an alarming rate!!! how so? i see this skateboard like once a day, WITHOUT fail.:P.i just can't help but be curious about this 'toy'..soooooooooooooooooooo...... with the free time i had today, i actually borrowed this toy from my neighbour today and got my first encounter with it!!

AND IT TOOK ME A WHOLE HOUR AND A HALF to move like 1 metre..

and trust me, it is as bizarre as it looks!!!hahaha.and i really wonder how these young kids can do it with so much ease and swiftness...ergh!makes me so damn jealous and pretty dumb actually.:(

Overall, great day at day 1 of work(job training).:D

first impression: got a shock when i entered my workplace...in a good way.of cause.a really cool envt to work in! :) had great colleagues/supervisor working alongside with me today..the mood was great, and time passed really quickly with all the calls..galah glabok at some point but supervisor very nice lady too.so i'd no problem..hee..:)

oh and i think i created a 'DAMN GOOD' first impression pls.by losing my way and locking myself out of the office! zomg.paiseh ttm.thank god i had my phone with me and my supervisor(who was rofl) came to my rescue..geez, i'm unique eh? only I am able to do something like that huh?? :P

ok.some quick updates.met AC girls ytd for dinner & prince of persia.had a great time catching up!! and today,went over to timbre old school to celebrate nicholas's 23rd birthday..

boy, he's one poor drunken dude! the team made him drink beer and 2 flaming tower!!! a pity i have no pictures now to validate my statement..but trust me, he sure was damn drunk & damn red can! poor thing la. as for me, i had an apple martini to go along(my first alcohol after like 6 mths)..while listening to pam and chris sing! :) and i realise i'm pretty 'into' music now.so much so that i can just ignore my surroundings and go into my 'own world'..:P

okay.i had a part time job today/ytd, as a waitress at a top restaurant in Singapore.
i would say the job isn't THAT difficult.just that we weren't even told what to do from the start.we were just told the very basics and they expected us to do more than required.like wtf..and me being a first timer,i got so much shit whenever i made a mistake...
k, the manager wasn''t that mean.he still corrected me if i made any wrong..but who the hell are you, ah tiong, also just a waitress.to comment and raise your voice at me?! omg.......it's not like i'm not admitting to my mistake right, but why must u be so hostile towards me?? moreover, i'm a first timer la! you can be fustrated, but please don't vent your fustrations on me cos its so damn bloody unfair. customers didn't even complaint or say anything..why you say so much? can't you just mind your own business!!!

and for the whole 6 hours, i seriously felt like you pushed everything to us 2. please, both of us can verify that you spent 70% of your time at the counter. and just ordering us what to do..grrrrrr.hello!!!! omg, total bully

and whenever i see him, i get scared.
when he talks, i feel like my IQ level drops by 30% or something...
and the weirdest thing, his questions always ALWAYS happen to be questions that i tend to avoid myself.what do i mean? its questions that i have in my heart, that i tend to hide. questions that I CAN NEVER GET AN ANSWER TO FOR WHATEVER REASON.okay,in short, just questions that get me thinking.

we were talking about sch, then work..and he asked what i wanted to do during my holidays..he thought that i've not worked before and i told him i've actually worked and that all my jobs were teacher related..and he gave that LOOK that you'll get from everyone..that look that says "so you're intending to go into teaching??? have you tried others? like maybe an office job"..

" haven't had the chance to,and i don't mind office job at all.."

and then, he told me that he has a friend who's a headhunter..and he'll help me keep a lookout!

HOW CRAZY AM I????!!!
1. chanced upon it on tv on thur morning,9am..music, nun, funny scenes and good looking pple..
2. force myself to wake up the next morning just to catch the second episode..
3. after it was done, i went online..chiong 2 episodes.
4. sat- chiong from 9pm to 3+am..
5. and today the first thing after i woke up, is chiong from this morning till now..i'm at episode 13..

eyes cannot take it..so i'm resting..and saving the last 4 episodes for tmr. for now, i shall go for a swim, then on to csc for some badminton! talking about badminton, the show actually had badminton scenes in it! i was like OMGOMGOMG. tsk.:)))

well, i just came back from my friend's 21st party held at one degree 15 sentosa cove.(what a complicated name) The theme was pirates in the day and punk rock by night..:D unfortunately, i only attended at night..a real pity tht i didn't go in the morning, cos the rest kept telling us HOW FUN IT WAS in the morning..:P cos they jumped off the yacht and swam to islands or whatsoever..hahaha.but they got seriously sun-KISSED too! :/

ain't my first time going to a yacht(last time i went to one was for leanna's 18th!)..but this time, the yacht was way bigger..and the programme arranged was just..awesomeeeee..they had a DJ to entertain guest, bartenders, waitresses on board serving you top top food and the live acoustic band( my favourite!!)..

really really, i was singing all night long to the tunes they played man..seriously one hell of a relaxation right after your exams!! we sure had alot of photos taken..oh yea, and the bday girl? was like the celebrity for the night.she had like 3 cameramen following her wherever she go..she even had a COW MASCOT on board which was damn cute!! *hopefully i can get hold of the pictures soon to share it with you guys*

i think and i hope i did alright for economics. i know i gave my best.shall just enjoy the 'precious' moments i have now.gonna doooo sooo many things with the break i have..movies,universal studios,holiday, dance,bake,exercise, play,swim,bike,run..just so many things i wanna try and do.

can't wait to meet audrey, xiu and all.they're the sweetest darlings.both remembered i end exams today..and called/sms to congratulate me! mwahahaha.ain't they love.:D

finally, a day when i can go to bed and NOT WAKE UP TO NOTES/BOOKS at like 8am in the morning..those horrendous days are just horrible and unbearable..so much so that my whole body system/mind state is affected by it. gotta recuperate..

2 PAPERS DOWN!!!!! woohooo.and on my way to paradise.:)))overall , i would say both papers are doable-passable...but not ace-able.:P just not that confident of myself.
and boy, there was so much commotion after the math paper...good bad easy difficult..WHATEVER PEOPLE.OVER.ITS OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (mimicks the "just for laugh" green monster!"..

just move on and do better for the next papers! go in and kicksomeass.:D
yea.so anw, if you are keeping up with my facebook status.i just did a GOOD DEED today..
ie. i was on my way home after tuition, met this old lady & young men at the bus stop-thought they were related but apparently, the young guy was helping this old lady out. helped her get on the bus..and left..we were the only ones from that stop, so naturally, i offered to help..and i brought her up the bus...

on the bus, she tried talking to me..and b4 that, i notice that this old lady had difficulty walking..so yea, i just stand near her.....
it was her stop soon..well, i wasn't sure if she had a home or a family, or if she knew her way back home..i just knew,at that point of time, that i had to help her..so i helped her down the bus, helped her cross the road ( had to stop cars for her! :P), and of cos, send her to her home..

was a really long walk in the sense that cos she had difficulty walking.and she really looked very frail..:(
i helped her as much as i could..and send her all the way to the doorstep..her home was very shabby, dark and "eery" with cardboards and plastic bags..i don't know why but i'm worried sick for her..just hope her daughter comes home quick and take care of her!!

its really strange.how she had trust in a total 'stranger'-me( & vice-versa)..
*she held on to my hand so tightly...

MY POINT HERE IS:
If you see someone in need of help the next time , please step forward. don't just stand there, cause nothing will happen for you'll never know what you can do..or never know what a difference you can make to tht someone's life until you help...

yea.so anw, as you all knnow, this is the EXAM WEEK already.and i've been having study sessions with badminton people for 2 days in a row.been pretty productive so far i must say..but one major major thing i don't like, is FINDING A PLACE TO STUDY!!

we tried tampines library today.went there at around 2pm..
to our shock/amazement: every single seat was full..okay, not that we don't know how crowded the library will be but we still had the false hope that there WILL BE 2 seats..hahaha.as we were leaving, i heard someone callng me..saw MEL! hahaha.and so i was like "so lucky la you..why so crowded!!" and her reply was " :) at 10:05am, pple queue for e seats-machiam like Michael Jackson concert la!!"..-and she's one of them.-__-''..
well.lesson learnt, wanna chop seats, go queue early!!
or else u'll have to make do with MCDONALDS..
the place where you spend unnecessary money and listen to guys 'rating' girls (OMG).
just today alone, i heard 2 different groups of guys(undergrads & working adults) literally 'discussing' about girls, from marriage, to girlfriends, to character, to looks(like really rating girls)..and they were so mean at times!!!! like saying certain girls are like 20% and others 90%..

i was laughing and scrutinising them..laughing cos it reminded me of my jc mates(the guys) who always told me that " GUYS ALWAYS TALK ABOUT GIRLS ONE.TRUST ME"...i didn't believe them for 2 years...

but i think i'm enlightened today. hahaha

are you on of those guys? if you are, shame on you!!! :P i'm not saying that we girls don't talk about guys..but even if you do discuss, at least do it discretely right...

okay.it seems now that my daily routine(ever since monday since there's no more sch) is: wake up at 10,serve the internet till 12,study ABIT and end of day...
and this is soooooooooooooooooo bad you know.:/

without a doubt,my routine was the same today.just that i had tuition from 3-6pm and after that, made my way down to swim training..so as usual, after swim, head for late dinner then home...and i forced myself to study sociology till now...everything i've read in the study guide and recommended text is >.<. content is alright..just the language barrier man..no doubt i'm reading ENGLISH.but seriously, for goodness sake, the english is way too profound already la...:(((
so much so that i've to read it over and over and over again to get it into my head..which is damn sian you know!!! DBT!

so gonna change my routine tmr!! wake up at 10 and just study throughout the day.:D

One observation: Facebook is bombarded with exam-related status..

I shall live up to my name "Optimistic Beeth" and try to spread my optimism to you people who read my blog..i mean, that is one of the purpose of me writing this blog right-to encourage/motivate people.(not sure if it's working but i'd still give it a try.)

okay.first of all, think about the long holiday after exams!!!(for SIM students, its 5 whole months, for other unis probably 3-4 months:)) omg.aren't you at least EXCITED? i mean, the things you can do during the break.like go on holidays, go shopping. or maybe just dota 24 hours a day, 7 days a week..?
you can freaking do anything that you like..basically.FREEDOM!!!! :DDD

and next, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
..okay.isn't the first reason sufficient enough for you to be motivated to study already?!
of cos, if you really wanna enjoy your holiday, you should at least leave the exam hall feeling like you OWNED the paper, and not the other way round..so people, plsplspls ensure you're at least prepared somehow..say 80-90%.(cos i do not believe in being 100% prepared either).:X what matters most is knowing that you've done your best for the paper right? :D

yea.so anw, as you can see also, i'm gonna be taking part in the Tribob sprint relay this Sunday..as usual, i'm doing the swim leg, together with team-mates kok hua & andy (who are really very very fast in their own leg)..and i've to say i'm definitely having some pressure of performing my best on the day itself.

my own target would actually be 15mins, cos my last swim leg trifactor last year, i clocked 16mins..
just hope the currents will be in my favour this year, then maybe can clock KK's expected..:S

okay.i know its very unusual that i have 2 posts in a day.but heck.
i've got things to say.

firstly, there was a pretty big hooha in the house ytd.:(
haven't had that shit feeling in so long..but i guess it hurt pretty badly cos it was 'accumulated'..
probably cried my eyeballs out la.
but yea, a night sleep..and i'm feeling better..
gonna take advice and not think about it anymore.:)

my focus now is my exams in ~2 weeks time..
you are right.i should do well for this exam and not let anything affect me, or give whoever a chance to say me..
had 2 study sessions the last 2 days.(one with charmaine & the other with the guys)
pretty productive..:) and i studied really minimal today.:/
can't help it.

feeling worried/anxious for the exams to come.
i would say my prelim grades were decent enough.passed 3 out of the 4 papers that i got back...(maths is TAKING FOREVER!)

i just wanna do better than that.better than before.
guess i've set myself targets..and i wanna attain them

i wanna show that i've woken up.
and that i've made the right decision all along....

REVIEW OF CHINA, BEIJING 2010

Weather: Spring (but honestly, felt like winter.only no snow.haha)
Temperature: ranging from ZERO to 15 degrees.brrrrr..

first day at tiananmen square. strong cold winds throughout the afternoon...trust me, you'd rather be 'ugly' than have cracked lips and peeling skin...hahaha.
and you have to find places to hide..like this.

but of not much use man..:p

my advise: don't go to china during extreme weathers unless you're all geared up. or else, if possible, go during 'warmer' weathers.:)

i won't go by the itinerary of my trip...like which days do what..cos i seriously can't recall the names of the places i visited and in what order..so i'll categorise the photos...

Landmarks:
1) Tiananmen Square- a really huge place for beijing folks to do any/every activities

Exercise. there are like so many of this ladies around..hahaha.

2) Forbidden City (Imperial Palace)-this place is ABSURDLY/RIDICULOUSLY HUMONGOUS!! as the name suggests, this place is forbidden to the people of china..

this is the entrance..only one entrance, wanna exit? you'll have to walk all the way to the other end..

the whole stretch up is 18km!!!!(if i don't rmb wrongly)..but i do know that i did walk alot..so much so that i had blisters on my feet..:P

3) Great Wall Of China - one of the 7 wonders of the world. one word : Magnificent! :)

The Place: has the Largest LCD screen tv ( in Asia, if not, the world)..lol.just look at the hugeee screen!!

GOOD.:D most of our meals were at restaurants..and i must say its pretty good! had 8 course-9 course meals..hahaha.eat till you happy.:D

oh and one more thing which i can say with 98% confidence that most of you have never eaten this before!!! tsktsk..

only stayed at 2 hotels for the trip. Resort Inn Hotel(not sure about the name.:P) & Aloft Hotel which are all 4 or 5 stars..:D

this was good cos it had a hot spring in every hotel room itself! perfect for the cold weather!! :) *take hourss to get into the water! lol

this was more like a boutique hotel.bed was huge for one person as you can see..and it had LCD tv!! :) many

other functions in the room also.but too many pictures already..tsk

Hi everybody! i'm back! :)
Reflection:
China(Beijing) was awesomely gooood,beyond my expectations & i'd rate it 7-8/10..but i shan't go into the details now becos 1) i have too many things to say and 2) i have too many photos to upload and 3) i don't have time now..

anw, i've had really bad news this morning-my great-grandmother passed away..:(
and just ytd night after touch down, we've got news that jon's (my bro's best friend) dad passed away on friday due to a heart attack.and to think we were just talking about how sudden the death was...and then the news this morning..sighhh.:((((
i was in lecture and the tears welled up cos images of her during cny this year just came into my headd..and me being me, couldn't stop thinking about her..
but well, its part and parcel of life i guess?
like what grandma says "是早晚的事情"..

sigh.just hope grandma don't take it too hard...cos afterall, there's this saying in chinese that says "失去了妈妈就等于失去了根。"

In 8 hours time, i'll be gone..

and as stated in the title, i'm off to CHEENA(ok, it means CHINA) land for a week till sunday!

its a family holiday.been so long since we travelled.
many of you say why am i going at this time, like just 3 weeks before my exams?
"still got mood to go holiday ah?"..xxx..

well, i guess its because daddy paid for my ticket already and that i've made my decision long ago to go on this trip with my family.and its not like i'm not going to study in china! hahaha.yes, i've brought some notes..and i do hope i do actually use them..:D

yeap.i don't think i'll have access to the internet over there in china.and i may actually be uncontactable..:( however, i think i can still call/sms but i think it's very expensive.soooo if i don't reply your sms or whatsoever, please understand..:)

meanwhile, this blog will be pretty empty at this moment i guess. i don't know if you guys will miss me or not, but i'm sure i'll miss you guys back in singapore! :) hahaha.

hahaha.i'm up so early.which is usually NOT the case.

yea.so anw, as you all know, i have a FREAK timetable this week, and ytd was definitely the freakday for me,with 10 hours of mathematics..:/ luckily i agreed to go happy food with some of the bees ytd.

had NYDC mushroom ham oven baked rice, strawberry mango snow ice..yumyum..:p
had such a great time chit-chatting.(not inclusive of answering questions that were directed at me though! :P)

oh.and i dont know if you notice this PHENOMENON around.and that is, the no. of people who owns an Iphone...it's mind-bogging.seriously. k.cast study last sat over dinner at crystal jade..

we had 15 of us, split into 2 tables..and my table itself, had 3 Iphonics..and the next table, had like 1 or 2..
k basically, there's this relatively new game titled the HEN HOUSE.which i recommend all Iphonics to download..cos its so super duper fun! it involves you cracking eggs that has numbers allocated to them.objective is to crack the egg from 1 to 100. and here's the fun thing about the game, for every egg you crack, there's this "cheet cheet" sound..so if you're fast, the phone goes like "cheet cheet cheet x 50"..
so we had this competition over dinner..and we all had stares from everyone..cos it was "cheeting" like hell..so much so that we overheard a waitress saying " 是哪一只鸡跑出来？！"
hahahaahahaa. and apparently, i'm not very good at the game as compared to my compatriots..
*Iphonics= People who owns Iphones.
so ytd, when i went out with the bees, there were 2 Iphonics out of 5 of us.so i went like "hey, do your have this game HEN HOUSE in your Iphone?".. both go like "no, what game isit?".. so me being me, i urged them to hurry download the game..and boom, all of us got addicted.started taking turns to break each other scores.>.< .anddddd i'm #1 on the scoreboard in Andy's Iphone..muahahahaha.:DDD

ok.so my point is, it seems to me like everyone is using an Iphone. maybe 1 out of 2? just sit across the lecture hall, you'll see 4 or 5 Iphonics busy with their Iphone(instead of their notes) and updating their tweets/fb..just look around you in the mrt, there's probably 5 Iphonics listening to their Itunes, another 2 playing games on it, and maybe another 3 using it to sms/update..

maybe i shall do a "reseach" during my sociology lecture..and i'll come back with "results" to post about.:)
maybe you readers can do a small survey yourself..

okay,maybe you haven't heard.yes.probably the biggest news yet- RIS LOW IS A DJ AT 98.7FM.zomg right.here's the scoop: just 3 days into work, she was 2 hours late on her 1st day, and left 2 hours early on the 2nd day of work...and apparently, it pissed Rozz off..but how can you blame Rozz right? i mean, if every DJ is going to mistake 1600 for 600pm..then what's gonna happen to 987???

and Ris just claim on the show that she's wayyy hotter than Adam Lambert(cos she has no idea who adam lambert is?) who is she trying to kid? lol.and she's a toad in a well?!
can she get anymore absurd? seriously.omg..

i've turn off my radio, cause it's just not worth my time..i seriously rather 987fm play music all the way from 4 to 8pm than listening to ris utter absurd and ridiculous stuff man....

From today onwards, I no longer need to work!!! well, at least for 2 months or so just to concentrate on my studies and exams...yippee!! and this means, for the whole of this week, i can sleep till 11,12 or 3 also nehmind! hahahahahaa.

just like today.i woke up at 1030. finish up some application form..STUDIED at the poolside from 3-6..help some secondary school boy(victoria's friend) with his project which requires me to go on camera!! >.<. and after the study session, i did some laps in the pool.:D

anddd what am i gonna do tmr?? probably the same routine bah, since i've got no more work! :) awesome possum..hahaha..so anyways, APRIL is gonna be HECK OF A MONTH. here's my crazyyyyyyyyyyy timetable..

1st April : April Fools, outing with BFFs.:D

It was so not fun...i mean come on, 10km..moreover, i had to wake up at 5am in the morning..cos the race starts at 7am! and it got postponed till 730am..(*)#(**..waste my cab fare..lol.
BUT THEN AGAIN
this run was for a good cause, so i shouldn't be complaining...
i must say the start was pretty messy as there were women everywhere la! hahaha, i was suppose to be running with michelle..but as i expected, she disappeared into the crowd and i didn't see her till the end of the race.:P so i was practically running 'alone' throughout the whole 10km...

it was definitely a challenge, both physically and mentally..at the 5km mark, my legs were screaming and my skin was burning...and i was soooooo tempted to stop and walk(like the other women)..but i told myself no matter what,i will not stop and i'll just keep running...

hmmm, the part that sucked the most, i would say, was the ending....knowing that the end is so near..but you see no finish line??? i swear i was like "ERGH...WHERE THE HELL IS THE END!!"

and finally..after a gruelling 1hour++, i FINALLY saw the finishing line..and as i was about to speed up....
i heard cries..cries coming from a caucasian lady..she was tall, fit..so normal reaction would be to you know-stop and ask her what's happening right?? so i looked at her and she just gave me a "sorry"...and i'm like "its okay..come on!"....i sorta slowed down and ran with her..when we were just metres away from the finishing line, i saw what seemed to be her husband and 2 kids..her husband was worried sick and kept going like "darling.what's wrong? come on.you can do it" and the lady just kept crying uncontrollably..i still have no idea why she cried..maybe she was too emotional or felt scared?? think she couldn't complete it? idk man.

but all that doesn't matter, cos she managed to finish her race..and i saw her finish it! :))
kinda dramatic i know but it's kinda heartwarming too.:D

my personal target was below 1h30mins..and i'm really happy that i did better than expected! according to my watch, i ran 1h12mins..but the official timings aren't up yet..but i'm still happy cos i FINISHED THE RACE...:D

i deserve a pat on the back right? hahaha.*pats pats*

During dinner yesterday, i told myself that THIS is gonna go up on my blog.:)

k.the story goes like this....

We headed down to swensens for dinner..
The waitresses thought we're a couple, so they offered us the "Real love works combo":

i would say i was pretty much in an awkward position when you replied e waitress
"you've got to ask the lady!"..

would saying yes/no mean anything to you, i wondered..
but i didn't think too much and just followed my heart....:D

Hi guys.above is just a small slideshow for team sapphire.:) don't know if you guys actually read my blog..but yea, the pictures above are pictures mainly from the trainings we do and of cos, the recent Singapore Bialthon race--would just like congratulate you guys for your good performance!!! i.e.KK's good result of top 15 percentile and ryan's top 16 percentile! seeing you guys succeed and beating your PBs only motivates me further..though i must say im pretty doubtful about myself being able to complete future bialthons/trialthons..tsk.

just some updates about myself this week..here goes:
monday, i had my sociology paper..and right after my paper, i told myself i'll give myself 1 or 2 days break, and DROWN MYSELF IN BOOKS..but apparently, i've YET to do that!!!which is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddddd..:(
tuesday, i caught Greenzone with wilson.hmm.great show with great company.what more can i ask for? :D wednesday work.
yesterday i had Kbox cum eat-everything-i-see-in-town-&-bugis with the small group of Bees...hahahaha.as usual, we had our htht sessions..and the whole day our topic revolved around relationships-boys-girls-girlfriend-boyfriend-players-gym-skinny-fat....hahahaa.but i had fun though.:)
today work.supper with team sapphire(like just only can).:D

*sigh* i'm feeling awfully fatttttt..:(( cos just now when i was suppose to run for an hour, i only managed 24mins..and i felt so horrible.maybe its becos i had too late a dinner? maybe its becos i missed wednesday's run.its just me..i have exceess fats and i have such lousy endurance.>.<.

i need to run,swim and bike morreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....
and i need to do so many many more things..
i need to save lots and lots of $$.i need to tidy my notes/room

okay.i'm really exhausted now and i'm struggling to write this post.but whatever,i just got to take this day down cos i think its worth nothing down...

okay.major things that happen today(or rather earlier on)..i had my IBM paper! its Introduction to Business & Management people..not the computer that ibm! last time i'm saying this okay..haha.
yea so anw.my paper was suppose to start at 10..usually if i had to take a bus down to school, i'll have to wake up at like 730am? yea.but today DIFFERENT...cos mr.yiliang very very nice(thank you yiliang!), offered to send me to school! :) i have such lovely friends..
but yea.before he even came at 915..i received a text from may heng, begging me to call yi liang up cos apparently, he's still asleep! so i just dial his number...and damn i was lucky..HE PICKED UP MY PHONE!
**fyi: may and his gf gave him lots of miss calls i think plus everyone should know that mr yiliang is well known for being a dammmmmmn deeeeeeeeeep sleeper....
hahaha.and so here comes the interesting part when i informed may that he picked up my phone.she went like "maybe its a sign that you'll do well for your IBM paper later..LOL"......
zomg.and i guess she was right! :DDDD i could answer 4 questions which is the min.criteria.i tried my best to write as much as i can rmb..and just writeandwriteandwriteandwrite..writewritewrite..paper was suppose to end at 1..but i left at 1230! :D save myself 30 mins...tsk..but yea.won't do WELL..just decent i hope!

k.other than that, i had the inter-constituency tournament..our 1st doubles won, i lost..so we stand at 1-1. and before the game started, i was told that we cannot lose this match or else we're OUT..:/..so yea.the next match up was the veteran doubles..and man was it DUPER exciting..our veteran pair fought their hearts out, all the way to rubberset..and they won! like 27-25??! i really salute the 4 men on court.i mean, to have that kind of stamina that they displayed on court just now(despite their age)..i'm speechless.like seriously..i have so much respect for them that i shook their hands off court.:D yea.so now 2-1.and our opponent had a walkover for the singles match..:/ so yea.HOUGANG won..at least i no need to feeel guilty.:)

oh yea.and i MUST mention this or else i dont sleep.hahahaha..

at the tournament, i saw gabriel( my senior back in ACJC)..omg he's so damn funny man..ok
he knows i'm his junior..recognises my face and everything..talk to me and all know..like ask how and what i'm doing now...and at the end of the day..when he was heading home,he tapped my shoulder and went like
"Hey.whats your name ah?!"
like ZOMG...i laughed so hard...and manage to reply:
"it's Genevieve."..
and he goes like:" Okay....:).......So hard to rmb!!!"

met Linglin at tampines to study in the afternoon..
not surprisingly, tampines library was packeddd..but we were thick-skinned enough to share tables..hahaha.
and i sorta completed 2 chapters of ibm! chapter 6 & 7! yayyy!
think i really should start mugging at libraries man..totally the place for me.:))

michelle came to join us.(good job mich).hahaha.cos it's my first time seeing michelle study!!! :) don't lose the motivation yea! just complete the course..doesn't do you any harm right not? :)
Linglin couldn't tahan the library anymore..so we headed out for Frolick before going our seperate ways.

Met XJ & AUD to chiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllll..noooo books..just us and us alone.:D
ate at hk cafe..and just chit chat all the way.and talk about life..tsk.we'd so much to talk about.never run out of topics to talk about yea? hahahaha.

Bored of your long flowy hair? sick of the same old hairstyle? want to change your look?messy or heavy hair??
if your answer is yes to any of the questions asked, then maybe, its time for you to GET A HAIRCUT!!!

here are some short hairstyles that i think are really nice!

now, i personally think that Rihanna's hairstyle is the bomb! but then again, i think this hairstyle is not easy to maintain.so only if you're a vainpot and have alot of time on your hands, then i suggest you take it.:D
Paris hilton's hairstle looks simple, nice and clean cut. if you don't wanna look too different, then maybe you should try this.(but you need to have good hair texture and a nice volume to carry off this!)
Now, i personally think the last photo is a very nice haircut.short, sweet, nice layering...HOWEVER, it seems to me that alot of people are carrying the chin-length bob kinda hairstyle..so beware if you decide to cut this..want to look different, then do some bold highlight or dye.:D

i've looked up the internet on this issue.and i cannot agree more when they say that it is important to know your face shape before you go for a new haircut..bear in mind the hair texture and density too!!!

haha.you guys must be thinking why i'm so random to be posting about hairstyless....
well, thats because my dear friend-cuiyun..who's in the U.S now,asked me for my opinions on whether or not she should go for a haircut! and yeaa.to help her, i'm giving my two cents worth! :) so cuiyun..i hope that when you say you want Ella hair..i hope its the more trendy one..like this.

and not this one that she's spotting in the show(this show is AWESOME btw)! LOL.i cannot imagine you with 'that' hairstyle.tsk!

kkk.so basically, before you go for a haircut, really ask yourself all the questions you want/can ask yourself..like will i look rounder/skinnier? will it have volume?? if you really can't decide, then ask your hairstylist..and most imptly, trust his/her opinion cos they are the true experts! :D

my dear cuiyun.i hope this helps you..haha.my advice is: go for the haircut..but not tooooo short please(like the one you spotted in secondary school!?!?)

sigh.i just came back from my study session with charmaine..
like what i told her, i really don't know what i was studying man..

the whole 4 hours, i was just flipping my notes and studying answer sheets.i TRIED to do some questions myself.but(not surprisingly), i ended up looking at the answers(which is totally the wrong way)...but the prelim is just tmr!! due to the shortage of time, or rather, my lack of revision..i decided to study smart..and that is spot questions! :/

sigh.i'm really dreading the 3hours long paper tmr.i just hope whatever i spot comes out.pls pls pls.
hope there isn't any 5 page rule like maths/stats..cos i think i can't write so much..:p

but then again, thank god its just prelims(not counted).haha.don't know why the hell i was so stressed up ytd when i realise i didn't fill in the question i attempted.but yea,stats and maths was ALRIGHT.so that's some good news..:)

hi guys.having lots of fun during this cny? hahaha.been collecting lots of money? eating lots of bak kwa and kueh pan cake? pineapple tarts,CHOCOLATESSS...gosh.i'm having alot of fun..bbuttt im feeling ultra duper fat.:( not saying that i don't feel fat before..but im feeling like extraaa extra fat.:(((

so much so that during swim training ytd, i couldn't even complete the full training.experienced shortness of breath..WAH SEH RIGHT? i s**** i wanted to die...but thank god, i'm awake now to continue this post..:)

so anw, what's CNY for me like the past few days? well, its just visiting and more visiting! haha.
CNY day 1- godparents house,1st uncle house then to auntie sally house.
CNY day 2- 1st aunt house, 2nd uncle house..then my house, adam house
CNY day 3- 5th uncle house, great grandmother house, joanne house
CNY day 4- lunch at boon tong kee.
CNY day 5(today)- STUDY STUDY STUDY
CNY day 6- bumblebees cny at laoren's place.:D
CNY day 7- visiting the neighbours..

CNY day 9-15 - F & E. hahaha.

packed huh? its totally sadistic that my first maths n stats paper(prelim) is like NEXT SATURDAY.omg.:( damn sadistic..but heck, i wanna do well for maths n stats cos its probably the only subject i can do well for.hahaha..k.enough talking..picture time!

Yesterday, i ran with dad along the river at like 11pm..and while running, i thought to myself, when was the last time i actually ran with daddy...>.<

think i've been so busy with my own life,so much so that i forgo the time with dad/mum/bro/sis......and now, every time i spend with them is more than precious.:)

HEY PEOPLE! haha..it's 2.35pm as im typing this..and i just got to tell you what happened this morning...

i woke up with NO feeling on my left arm! how crazy is that huh? like i s**** its the whole arm..what i did was i used my right hand to like hold up my left hand..and i couldn't feel any thing.no sensation.i tried poking n pinching myself, still no feeling..the hand was like jelly..n i was like "what's happening?!"..and the next moment, i felt a thousand miliion pins & needles..painfffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllll man.but at least got feeling.:) so i went back to sleep..hahaha.:D

yea. silly girl you might say. it must be the gory stories i heard during supper ytd la..:/

hahaha.anw.i've been having suppers 3 nights in a row.every single night since wed....with the same group of pple.:))

i'll just called this group <the annoying oranges>.hahahahaa.why?
